Introductory Questions

  1. My name is Jay Won. I'm majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Human-Computer Interaction, and I'm currently a senior at WashU.
  2. I do have a background in coding and making web pages due to my major. I have an interest in frontend development and UX design, and so I thought this class would have been helpful to take.

  5. When designing for screen, there are different interactive components that can lead a user to different pages or views, which doesn't really exist whend designing for paper.
  6. I think a website that exemplifies effective design is Uber. I like how the user is able to look up where they want to go right when they enter the website, and as a user scrolls down, everything is clean and easy to read.
  7. I think a website that exemplifies effective communication is Apple. I like how Apple displays all of their deals and devices in a simple way as you scroll down. The layout makes it very easy for the user to view.
  8. I think a website that works well is Youtube. With so many videos, I like how Youtube allows users to filter based on different categories and has options on the sidebar to view different types of content.
